Why should I participate fairly in Codyssi?

As Codyssi is a competition platform, plainly copy-pasting code or using AI-generated code is considered unfair for other Codyssi participants.

Additionally, as a development platform, we encourage you to learn concepts from Codyssi problems.

Would you really learn anything by just copy-pasting sections of code that you didn't write?

What is 'fair' participation?

For the Codyssi coding competition, fair participation is outlined as follows:

• You are encouraged to solve Codyssi problems using any programming language of your choice.


• You are also welcome to try other (more unorthodox) methods, for example, using spreadsheet software or solving it by hand.


• Some methods will be noticeably faster (or slower) than other methods :>


• If you are stuck on a problem, it is perfectly fine to:


• Read your programming language's documentation sheet.


• Research concepts online.

In general, you are encouraged to solve problems using your own skills and to develop and learn from problems that you may be initially stuck on.

What is 'unfair' participation?

Unfair participation in the Codyssi coding competition is outlined as follows:

• You should not use code that you haven't written yourself.


• This includes code from online sources.


• You should not use AI to generate a solution.

In general, you are discouraged from using code that you haven't written yourself, as it takes away from the competition and learning aspect of Codyssi.
