Terms and Service Status

Introduction Clause

Codyssi is an online programming competition for programmers, or aspiring programmers, of all abilities.

These terms of service set out a legally binding contract between you and Codyssi regarding your use of the site and our services.

For the purposes of these terms of service:

• The words “you” and “your” refer to the individual using Codyssi services or any legal entity on behalf of which such individual is using Codyssi services, as applicable.


• The words “we", "us", and "our" refer to Codyssi.


• The word “site” refers to our website, accessible through https://codyssi.com and its subdomains.

Eligibility Clause

To be eligible for our site, and by accepting these terms of service, you must:

• Warrant that you are at least 13 years of age.


• Warrant that your use of our site complies with our terms of service.

We grant you permission to access and use the site if and while you agree to follow these terms, are eligible, and haven’t violated these terms.

If you don’t agree to these terms, or aren’t eligible, or have violated these terms, then you do not have our permission to use the site.

Acknowledgment Clause

By using Codyssi’s services, you warrant that you are eligible, you warrant that you agree to abide by these terms of service, and you warrant that you accept our privacy policies.

For this reason, you are strongly advised to read our privacy policies. Most notably:

• All of our practices comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


• All of our practices comply with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

External Links Clause

Codyssi has no control over, assumes no responsibility for, and is not liable for any issues or damages caused by, or caused through, the content or policies of any linked third-party websites or services.

You acknowledge that you use external links on our site at your own risk.

Protection and Preservation Clause

Codyssi is intended to be a friendly and competitive platform for users to develop their programming passion and skills.

To maintain the spirit of the competition, you must not act in any way that compromises or damages the integrity of Codyssi, Codyssi’s services, or the ability of other users to use Codyssi services.

You must not damage, disrupt, harm, interfere with, or compromise our systems or services, such as by:

• Hacking, spamming, or damaging our site or services in any way.


• Spreading malware onto our site or other users.


• Compromising or damaging the integrity of Codyssi’s data or our users’ data.


• Using our site or services to compromise our users’ privacy or to violate their rights.


• Impersonating or misrepresenting us, which includes but doesn’t pertain to:


• Spreading or providing a site or service that appears to be controlled or owned by Codyssi but actually is not.


• Spreading or providing a site or service that appears to be controlled or owned by, or has originated from you but is actually controlled or owned by, or has originated from us.


• Redistributing or copying Codyssi’s content, such as Codyssi’s name, design, concept, problems, or prompts.


• Providing services and/or encouragement for others to violate these terms.

In addition, note that:

• You can discuss, reference, and link to Codyssi’s problems and prompts in your classes, websites, or other material.


• You cannot claim ownership of, or copy, Codyssi’s problems and prompts.


• Codyssi does not claim ownership of your solution implementation.

Account Deletion Clause

You may delete your Codyssi account at any time by submitting this short form under the “account deletion request” category.

• All valid “account deletion request” responses to this form are guaranteed to be acted upon within 1 week.


• Upon account deletion, all of your data associated with your deleted account is deleted and erased from Codyssi.

You may create another account after deleting your account, but none of the data from your previous account will remain.

Termination Clause

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and your access immediately, without any prior notice, limitation, or liability, in any of the following cases:

• You have breached these terms of service in any way.


• We reasonably suspect that you have breached these terms of service.


• We’re legally required by a legal requirement or court order.

Upon termination of your account and your access, your right and permission to use Codyssi's services will cease immediately.

Closure Clause

We reserve the right to close your Codyssi account without your permission or prior notice if it has been inactive for 2 or more years.

• However, we are not obligated to close your account if it has been inactive for 2 or more years.


• All of your data will be deleted and erased from Codyssi.

In the event that Codyssi is no longer viable or possible for us to run, we reserve the right to close your Codyssi account without your permission.

• A 60-day notice will be issued on our site’s homepage and accounts page.


• All of your data will be deleted and erased from Codyssi.

Limitation of Liability Clause

To the maximum extent not prohibited by law, we shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

Notwithstanding any damages that you might incur, the total liability of Codyssi under any provision of these terms of service shall always be limited to US$10, as Codyssi offers no paid product purchases.

"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Clause

Codyssi services are provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". You acknowledge that any faults and defects are without warranty of any kind.

Corrections and Changes Clause

There may be typographical or grammatical errors or omissions in our site or services. We reserve the right to amend any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change the information on our site or services at any time, without prior notice.

Variation Clause

We reserve the right to amend any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to revise or change terms on Codyssi’s Terms of Service at any time.

In the event of any revision of these terms of service, any changes made will be available and displayed on our site’s homepage for at least 30 days before the revision is effective and will remain on the homepage for at least 30 days after the revision has come into effect.

In the event of any revision of these terms of service, the ‘Last Updated’ date displayed on the site’s account page shall always be updated within a day.

In addition, in the event of any revision of these terms of service, we will update the ‘Last Updated’ date displayed on this document.

In the case that you disagree with the revised terms of service, you are free to stop using our services and site and to delete your account at any time (all terms in the account deletion clause apply).

Severability Clause

If a competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these terms of service to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the remainder of these terms of service shall not be affected and will remain in full effect.

Waiver of Rights Clause

Any delay or omission by Codyssi to enforce any of these terms of service SHALL NOT operate as a waiver of our right to enforce these terms of service.

A right belonging to Codyssi may only be waived or forgone if explicitly acknowledged, agreed to, and signed by Codyssi in writing.
